Working hard or hardly working???
Okay, so I'm officially a substitute teacher. Wow! It's sort of weird actually and I never appreciated how much crap a sub gets, but really I like my job. So far I've taught math and science at West and Highland High schools and next week I'll be subbing at North and Foothill. Yeah me! The hours are hard to come by but at least I make decent money. Most of the kids are great and the staff is always wonderful, I just hope I'm doing my job right. I guess I'll find out if I get asked back.

The bummer is I have to look up where all the schools are and leave early because I get lost easily getting there and at the schools. Also besides cutting into my sleep time, working is cutting into my college homework time. I should be writing a paper and I have a powerpoint presentation to do. Stupid homework. I really love that poem Annie posted, which is sad because I'm a future teacher. I just hope I can help the kids learn without stressing them out and assigning useless busy work.

Congratulations!!
I'm so jealous that you're starting your life already.
Who needs law school? I want to teach, too.

And I'm SURE you'll be a great teacher, Jenn. "I just hope I can help the kids learn without stressing them out and assigning useless busy work." This shows you've been thinking about it, and since high school isn't too far behind us, I think that gives you even more of a edge.

I can't wait to hear teacher stories =)
